FAQs
How do I purchase tickets?
We strongly recommend purchasing tickets on our website before you visit. When you purchase your tickets in advance, you can begin your Seven Falls experience upon arrival. If you decide to wait until the park entrance, we do have a ticket booth where you can purchase tickets, but note that there may be a line.
Do I need a physical ticket?
You do not need to print anything! After purchasing your ticket online, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code. Just present this QR code to the staff person at the Norris Penrose Event Center parking area. You will receive a wrist band which will be your park entry ticket.
How far in advance should I purchase my tickets?
We recommend a minimum of 24 hours in advance so we can properly prepare for your experience and to minimize wait times.
How do I get to Seven Falls?
All visitors to Seven Falls MUST park at 1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd, Colorado Springs, (The Norris Penrose Event Center). From there, our complimentary shuttle service transports all visitors to the park entrance.
How do I get to Seven Falls if I’m staying at The Broadmoor?
Guests of the resort can get shuttle service to the park from the front entrance of the West building. Seven Falls is also an easy one-mile hike from the resort. Please see the concierge desk for a walking map.
How far is it to the base of the falls from the park entrance?
Once the shuttle drops you at the park entrance, it is approximately 8/10 of a mile to the base of the Falls, with many points of interest along the way. Walking is the best way to experience the full beauty of the canyon.
Is the park accessible for everyone?
While this is a nature experience, we have taken measures to make it as accessible as possible for everyone. There is space on the shuttle for strollers and wheelchairs. Once you reach the park, there is a chauffeured golf cart available to take any guests with mobility concerns to the end of the canyon. Please note, however, that the golf cart is unable to go all the way to the base of the Falls. There is an approximate 100-yard transition from the end of the golf cart path to the base of the Falls. Additionally, it is approximately a 30-yard transition from the golf cart path to the Mountain Elevator.
How many steps are there once I reach the falls?
There are 224 steps at the Main Falls Stairs and 185 steps to the Eagle’s Nest view platform. The only way to reach the top of the Falls is via the Main Falls Staircase. The Eagle’s Nest platform can also be reached via the Mountain Elevator.
Are there restrooms available?
Yes, there are restrooms at the Norris Penrose Event Center (where the shuttle to the park departs from). Once at the park, there are restroom facilities mid-way through the park and at the top of the canyon near the Seven Falls Shop. Please reference our park map for specific information.
Is Seven Falls pet friendly?
Yes, the shuttles and park are pet friendly. All pets must remain on a leash. Dogs are allowed on the stairs and the trails. However, we do recommend ensuring a dog is comfortable going down the stairs before taking them all the way to the top, to avoid possibly having to carry them down.
Can I change my ticket if there is bad weather?
Rain checks, refunds, or ticket changes are based on inclement weather and are only approved when the park is closed by Management.
How long should I plan to spend in the park?
Visits average from 2-2.5 hours. If you choose to hike the nature trails above the Falls or dine in Restaurant 1858, expect additional time within the park.
When can I see the lights on the Falls?
The lights on the Falls come on after dark. The exact time will vary depending on the park’s hours of operation, the time of the year, and the time of your visit. You can also see what they look like in the evening by checking out our webcam!
Do I need a ticket to Seven Falls in order to dine at Restaurant 1858?
A park entrance is required to eat at Restaurant 1858. Advance reservations are recommended and can made online or by calling (719) 476-6758. We recommend taking the shuttle an hour before your dining reservation, so you can walk the length of the canyon and enjoy the full park experience prior to dining. You’re also welcome to enjoy the park after your meal.
